Privacy Policy

Poster Poster— Last updated: 30 April 2026

1. Who we are

Poster Poster (“we”, “our”) is a software service operated from the United Kingdom that turns Google Calendar events into social-media posts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit posterposter.app, our blog, and our application, and when you connect third-party accounts to the service. For any privacy enquiry, email hello@posterposter.app.

2. Information we collect

Account & OAuth data. When you connect Google, Meta (Facebook / Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube accounts, we receive OAuth access tokens and the minimum profile information needed to publish on your behalf (e.g. display name, account ID).

Google Calendar event data. Event titles, dates, times, locations and descriptions you choose to share, used solely to generate posters and posts.

Browsing data on our marketing site. Standard web server logs (IP address, user-agent, referring URL, timestamp) plus cookies set by us and by third-party services described below.

Communications. If you email us or join the waitlist we keep that email until you ask us to delete it.

3. How we use your information

We use your data to: (a) generate posters and social posts from your calendar events; (b) publish those posts to platforms you have explicitly connected; (c) operate, secure, and improve the service; (d) communicate with you about the service; (e) measure how visitors use our marketing site so we can improve it; and (f) display advertising on our marketing site to fund the free product, as described in section 5.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our third-party providers use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies on this website. We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies— required to keep you logged in and the site functioning.
  • Analytics cookies— we use Google Analytics to measure traffic and improve the site. These cookies record an anonymised identifier and basic browsing actions.
  • Advertising cookies— third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense, set cookies to serve relevant ads on this site (see section 5).

You can refuse non-essential cookies via your browser settings or via the cookie banner where shown. Refusing analytics or advertising cookies will not affect your ability to use the application.

5. Advertising and Google AdSense

Our marketing pages (the public website at posterposter.app and our blog) display advertising served by Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. Advertising helps fund the free version of Poster Poster.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

For more information on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

We do not show third-party advertising inside the authenticated Poster Poster application or on the customer-facing output that you publish. Advertising is limited to our marketing website.

6. Third-party services we use

  • Google— Calendar API (your calendar events), Google AdSense (advertising), Google Analytics (measurement).
  • Meta— Graph API for publishing to Facebook and Instagram on your behalf.
  • TikTok— Content Posting API for publishing videos and stories on your behalf.
  • LinkedIn— Marketing Developer Platform for publishing posts on your behalf.
  • YouTube— Data API for uploading short-form video on your behalf.
  • Vercel— hosting infrastructure (server-side processing and content delivery).

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We share with them only the data necessary to deliver the function you have requested.

7. Data storage and retention

OAuth access tokens are stored encrypted at rest. Calendar data is processed in real time and not permanently stored. Generated images are stored only as long as needed to publish, then deleted. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Email addresses collected via the waitlist are retained until you ask us to delete them. You may revoke any third-party connection at any time, which triggers deletion of the associated tokens within 24 hours.

8. Data sharing

We share data only with the third-party services listed in section 6, in each case strictly to deliver the function you have asked us to perform (e.g. publishing a post to Instagram requires sharing the post content with Meta). We do not sell personal data, and we never share your calendar contents or audience data with advertisers.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar legislation, including: the right to access the personal data we hold about you; the right to correct or delete it; the right to object to or restrict our processing; and the right to portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@posterposter.app. We respond within 30 days.

You can also revoke Poster Poster's access to any connected account at any time via that platform's account settings (Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube). Revocation deletes the stored tokens for that account.

10. Children's privacy

Poster Poster is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom. Some of our service providers (notably Google, Meta, and Vercel) operate globally and may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK / EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards approved by the relevant supervisory authority.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email to active users where reasonable.

13. Contact

For privacy enquiries or to exercise any of your data rights, email hello@posterposter.app. The data controller is Poster Poster, United Kingdom.
