Free social post designer · Browser only · No upload
Design a social media post in your browser.
Poster Poster Designer is a free in-browser social media post designer. Background, logo, headline, download. No upload, no signup, no watermark.
Upload a background photo, add a logo or hero image, position it with the 9-grid, type your headline, download. Same kind of post Poster Poster generates from your calendar — design it once here, keep using it every week.
Top 50% is the hero zone — keep faces and important content above the dashed guide line.
Bottom 50% is the text zone — your headline + subline land here with 20% margins, matching the Poster Poster template framework.
Small mark in a corner of the hero zone — your initials, brand logo, or the venue logo. Skip if your background photo is the whole identity.

What this is good for
Most social posts a small business needs to make are some variation of “photo + logo + a line of text.” A gig poster, a Saturday-special menu card, a class schedule update, a pop-up announcement, a quote graphic. The job is repetitive, the existing tools are bloated (Canva-on-mobile is slow and pushes you to its paid tier), and the free tier of every Canva-style competitor gates the export within minutes.
This designer does just-this-one-job, free. Pick a canvas size (Instagram square, story, YouTube thumbnail, etc.), drop in a background photo, add a logo or a hero image, position it, type your headline + venue / date, download as PNG. The whole thing runs in your browser — no upload, no signup, no watermark.
How to think about layers
The design composes back-to-front in this order:
- 1. Background — solid colour or an uploaded photo. Photos crop to fill the canvas. The dim slider sits above the photo to darken it for text legibility.
- 2. Logo / hero image — your brand mark, your initials, a photo of yourself, a plate of food, a drinks shot, a band photo. Whatever anchors the post visually. Position it with the 9-grid, size it with the slider.
- 3. Text — headline (the event name) + subline (the date / time / venue). Sits in the lower zone of the canvas. Pick the colour to match your brand or the photo behind it.
Why everything happens in your browser
Most online image editors upload your photo to a server, process it there, and hand you a link to a watermarked download. The export gate is how they monetise. We don't need that gate because the tool runs entirely in your browser — your photo never leaves your device, the canvas is composed locally, and the PNG export goes straight to your downloads folder. Free as a consequence of the architecture, not because we're running a funnel into a paid tier.
From single design to weekly auto-posting
Here's the trick: this designer outputs the same kind of post Poster Poster generates automatically from your calendar. Make a design here, get the look right, and you've effectively built a Poster Poster template — the design just needs the text swapped per event. That's what Poster Poster does, every week, automatically.
Poster Poster connects to your Google Calendar, takes your design template, and posts a fresh version of it across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok every time you add an event. Same design, different gig. Free to try, no card on signup.
Other free utilities
Need to resize an image for a specific platform? Use that one instead — just resize, no text or logo. A compress tool is coming soon for shrinking file sizes before upload.
